Mid last year, our reading coach got a set of whisper phones for the 1st grade team. Each class got 4 for the students to share. I absolutely fell in love with them and so did my students! I’d heard of whisper phones before, and I’ve even seen pins on Pinterest on how to make them yourself. But what I didn’t know, is the magical powers these little plastic devices possess. Suddenly, my class was quieter. Those students who just had to read in the LOUDEST voice possible, where suddenly whispering quietly to themselves!!! Hallelujah!! The downside was that I only had 4. Some students got upset when it wasn’t their turn and who could blame them. Whisper phones are COOL! I knew right then and there that I wanted a class set. So I finally made them and not only were they super easy to make, but they were super cheap too. This is definitely an easy and cheap project you can make for your classroom. Plus your students will love them!
